Project 2 Logos

   Logo 1

Reflection
During these weeks, I created many different types of logos. I tried to be creative and do logos that all conveyed different messages. The ones seen here are my final logos. These were the best ones. The message I tried to get through to people with these ones, is about an aquarium. If it were real, I would want to make people remember that logo and make them want to go. I would want to attract them by making them feel like they cannot miss out on this trip and feel like they really want to see all the cool sea animals. One of my best friends in this project was the pen tool. I used the pen tool to create cool shapes, like the octopus shape and the whale shape. I inserted different textures to give the logos more mesmerizing touches. When I typed in the texts, I tried to use different styles and fonts. I also gave the text different ways of looking, depending on what the logo was about. For example, the text in the logo with the whale, I tried giving it a watery, kind of bubbly, sort of aquatic look. I made sure to look back at my power point notes to check which colors look good together and from which angles.

Reflection
The second set of logos I created was based on a so called B.B Stones company that sells jewelry. For some, I created shapes that look like a jewelry piece or a nice stone. For example, on the first you see here, I drew a circle and a diamond to represent a nice ring. On the second logo, I did a ruby red rock. I combined the shapes I drew with the meaning of them. Since the whole thing was based on a company that sell nice jewels, I thought it be best to draw jewel shaped pictures.  I looked back at my notes given, to see what colors looked good or best together. I tried giving them different textures based on what the piece of jewel it was.

Reflection
The third set of logos is supposed to be logos for a daycare place. I wanted it to seem like a logo that when a parent saw it, they would not forget about it and would want to leave their children there. I wanted it to look like a trustable place for children to be at. I created some shapes that would attract the people’s attention like a baby or a little pacifier indicating that any baby or child would be good there. I even through a little slogan that said, “Safe & secure”, to make it seem more realistic. I used certain colors to evoke a certain type of feeling to whoever sees these logos. For example, I used light yellow and light orange, because those colors bring a nice and happy feeling to people. I put the text in different angles and made sure to lighten some pictures. I did not want to use any dark or opaque colors that would evoke a sense of insecurity or fright to the people.

Reflection
The last set of logos I made was for a recycling company that cares about the earth and the environment. I created some shapes like the earth, a tree, and a simple recycling bucket to remind the people that we should recycle in this company that is called just that, Recycle.  I used bright colors in order to actually get the attention of people and made the earth shaped picture to get them thinking that they should go to this company and recycle their stuff. I also used a lot of blue, because a recycling company would be concerned about the oceans and the water. I added big letter texts, and firm fonts to get through to peoples mind that this is serious business.
