Project 1/Montage

Reflection
In order to create a very cool collage, I had to do many things. I started off by searching for pictures that I thought would be useful for my project on the internet. With those pictures, I also had to file the pictures information in order to give credit to its owner. I thought that it was the easiest thing to do, inserting the URL, the date, and the time I found the photos. The next thing I did was start on the actual collage.
In my mind, I already had an idea of what I wanted. But as worked and worked, my ideas and thought of how I wanted my collage to look changed. I ended up creating an album of different Polaroid pictures with cool pages. The theme was about a rocker chick that is in love since high school with her rocker boyfriend. The Polaroid pictures show dates and places they’ve been and their memories basically. First, I made the new transparent layer to fit the size it said on the guidelines. I made sure to click on the transparent button to not have a background and inserted a resolution of 300 pixels. Then I started fixing the images. I made sure to frame the images to fit into the Polaroid frames. I added tone and sharpness to the pictures to focus more on the images. I arranged the Polaroid pictures to look as if they were put in a scrap book. I used the polygon lasso tool to copy images and the magic wand tool to delete and hide backgrounds that I used on my collage. After I had completed the two scrap book pages, I dragged them onto the actual opened album. And instead of just having white, boring pages on the book, I gave it cheetah pages to add to the theme I wanted to create. My project was almost complete. Then I transformed and distorted the pages to look as if it was a real page of pictures, and not just flat with images posted on it. I toned the edges to give it a better look. Each layer had different things, I made sure to blend them together to give it a more real look. I added bevel and emboss to some, and to others I added inner shadow and outer glow. When I finished, I had many different layers. My collage turned out very good and I was very satisfied.
